Girls Night In

With our boys out for the evening over the weekend, we came up with a fun girls night at home! I walked through the grocery store looking for girly food we wouldn't normally have as a family - chicken salad, pinwheels, petit fours and macarons all came home with me! It was a lovely spring evening, so we enjoyed our tea party on the screened-in porch.

After dinner and a quick kitchen tidy, we played a Lizzy and Darcy Matchmaking game that I found at TJ Maxx. Here is a link to the game on Amazon, it's more expensive here than what I found. It was fun and we enjoyed learning lots of new things about Jane Austen through the trivia questions.

Rachel is going to be doing a semester study of Jane Austen this Fall so we were excited to add this to our Jane Austen idea list!

We finished our evening by watching an episode of Downton Abbey in our jammies. I found these fun individual ice cream cups at the grocery store and thought they would be a fun treat!
