Slow: Nature Swap

We recently had the opportunity to participate in a nature swap via some friends on Instagram! What fun! We collected goodies and sent them to sweet friends and received a box of goodies in return!

This turned to be a lot of fun for a couple of reasons - we were paired up with a sweet homeschooling family on the west coast which was neat because that is the completely other side of the US from us! But even more fun was that we were paired with a friend we "knew" through our blogs and it was a treat getting reconnected! Thank you, Jenny!

Above and the next few photos are the goodies we collected and sent:

And, here is what we received:

Time in God's creation is always slow and peaceful to me. Nature is a gift God has given us and I am thankful for opportunities to enjoy it!

Such a fun swap! Megan would enjoy something like that as she is a rock collection, worm digging kind of girl.

I LOVE this idea Monica! I am the one on IG that commented that I was going to steal it. We have two IG friends that we are mailing nature to today. And it was fun collecting stuff from our neck of the woods to send to them.
Thanks for the idea!

Wow, what a clever idea, Monica!
I love all the things you collected and how you labeled them
all. The things you received were very interesting also! A good learning experience for all.
Love you, Grandma

That's so neat, Monica. An egg carton was a great way to send stuff. Everything looks so pretty laid out on that board.

This is a really neat idea. A fun way to get acquainted with another part of the country without actually going there. I would think it might make your kids have to do a little extra research about the nature around them too. Very fun!
