Monica's Valentine Day Surprise

*Interloper Happy Husband here...

I am pretty sure that Monica will forgive me for hijacking her blog for this. After all I did something crafty for her! [I'm sorry. It's my fault. Will you forgive me? I love you!]

Well, this is my gift to Monica this year. If she can post a picture of it completed by next Wednesday she can have her wedding anniversary gift.

And I believe this is where she usually tells you how she did it. (Sorry, I am new at this and did not do step by step photos like she does so well...)

On a recent trip out of town I hit Monica's most favorite store in the universe...HOBBY LOBBY! I got her some fancy stationary that was on sale, but unbeknown to her I got a little extra and hid it away. Muhahahaha! [<---maniacal laughter befitting an Evil Genius for a Better Tomorrow]

I used spray adhesive to secure it to the some matting board cut to fit (thanks to Grandma for the help! Otherwise it would have turned out to be quite an irregular "square").

I had originally planned on doing a very nifty squiggly jig-saw pattern, but QUICKLY realized that it is MOST difficult to cut curvy lines with a cheapo exacto knife. I had to settle for irregular straight cuts. Which probably is for the best anyways knowing how "exact" I am with measuring and cutting.

And here ya'll see the finished pieces all ready to be put together!

A little hint Babe...Hrrrm. On second thought, ask me if you get really stuck :)
