Heart Garland

My friend, Grace, has been here this week and our tradition is to let the little girls play and let the big girls (us) do lots of crafting!

The first project we did was this really fun Valentine's Garland! I saw the idea in the February 2007 issue of Country Home. You can download all the papers here.

I do not have a color printer, so asked a family member to print out one of each page for me. Then I made color copies at an office supply store. I found a ten foot length of chain in the Wal-Mart hardware section for $4 and we cut that in half to form two five foot lengths.

Our ornament hooks were already up in the attic, so we used a mixture of safety pins and paper clips to attach the hearts to the chain.

I've always wanted something Valentine themed to hang across our mantle and I think this is just perfect!

Precious! I don't have a mantle but I bet I could find somewhere else to hang a cute little garland...

I didn't know where I should put this, but I wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying reading the Mitford Series and my One Year Bible. Thank you so much for introducing me to these.

That is sweet! I'm actually going to do this one, too. My dh will be away to Texas for training all of Valentine's week so he will come home a sweet looking house. :-) Thanks!!
