Porch Picnic

Our second picnic of the day ended up being a car picnic lunch after doing a stop at the Chick-fil-A drive through!

When we got home, there was a box from Farmgirl Flowers waiting on the porch and what a *surprise* they were from Emily! This was so touching and meaningful to me - I have enjoyed these so much and will treasure this memory forever!

After a relaxing afternoon watching some British Baking Show and just enjoying being home, it was time for our dinner picnic on the porch! Emily set the table for me and I made a simple dinner of BBQ Chicken French Bread Pizza, Rachel made the brownies for dessert!

Emily added a little muffin tin with wood slices that have chalk paint on them - she provided chalk and asked everyone to write things they love about me on them. I have said so many times lately and I'll say it again - having teenagers is so awesome, I'm just loving it.

Rachel also made this adorable bunting for the brownies! After dinner, all of us girls went to a nearby neighborhood we love to walk in and had a lovely walk as the sun hit golden hour. What a great day!

Those flowers are gorgeous! I love the photo of the four of you in the car with your lunch picnic - everyone smiling! And how thoughtful to have the chalk slices for everyone to write things they love about you. If I had been there, here are some of the things I would have written: fun to travel with - has good ideas - very generous and caring - love to hear you laugh!
