Cry Out!

Friday night, I had the opportunity to attend a simulcast of Cry Out. This was a prayer event put on by Nancy Leigh Demoss Wolgemuth and numerous other Christian leaders. It was so so good.

I regret that I did not post about it sooner so that many of you may have had the opportunity to go and watch it live in a group locally. But I'm excited to share that it is available for you to watch on line!

One story I enjoyed hearing was about Jeremiah Lanphier who began a prayer meeting in New York City on September 23 {the same night of the simulcast!} 1857. Six people came to his first meeting and forty the next week. Two weeks later the stock market crashed and six months later he had ten thousand gathering for daily prayer. WOW! You can read more here.

In the days leading up to the coming election, Cry Out is encouraging women to pray diligently for our nation. You can sign up for a weekly prayer email here.

Another striking thing to me was how many Scriptures were shared that include these words, "cry out" - why not take a few minutes in your quiet times this week to look some of these up! Here is a list to get you started and you can easily change the translation if preferred.

It was overwhelming to consider that likely well over 100,000 women were gathered to pray via this simulcast around the world. Imagine the sound rising to Heaven! Oh, just imagine!

Friends, we need to be praying for our homes, marriages, children and families, neighbors, churches, leadership and nation. We desperately need God during these days in our land.

Psalm 102:1, "Hear my prayer, O Lord; let my cry for help come to You."

Cold chills... or glory bumps as we sometimes call them around here. Our pastor *JUST* told us of this story a couple of weeks back. AMAZING what can happen when we TRULY seek the Lord. Thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to knowing more about how I can incorporate that into my quiet time.

Blessings,
Chas

I was at Cry Out!!! it was more phenomenal than I could every put in words... 7000 women gathered in intercessory prayer was maybe the most inspiring event I have ever been too!
the CD's of the messages are on the Revive Our Hearts website... I highly recommend Russel Moore's Message...it got the conference off to a great start! if you ever have a chance to go to a True Woman event, I HIGHLY recommend it!!
Janet Parshall reminded us that our prayers must be consistent, insistent, and persistent! What a challenge!!

Thanks for sharing about this - I was not familiar with this ministry. I took time tonight to listen to the message and signed up for the prayer reminders.
