Love so much about this post! The tinker toy Christmas tree...I'm going to do that with my grandson. Of course I love the PECANS...good promotion for our industry! The leaves..Falls splendor is always late here. Everyone is talking of snow (no can snow tho!) when Christmas season arrives. Thank you for not dismissing it even when it is late. Those gingerbread houses are the prettiest I've ever seen. What icing did you use to make them stick together so well? Love the Christmasing displayed by your kids.

I ordered an awesome book by JRR Tolkin called "Letters From Father Christmas". It is so precious. He wrote letters to his children with his awesome imagination from "Father Christmas". You can see the love he had for his kids. Not about The Christ child but still so sweet. I bought it from Amazon.

@Tina Leigh: I totally cheated on the gingerbread houses! When I saw they were decorating them for FREE at the library we scurried down there and made them! They were pre-assembled {a mother's dream} and all the candy was out and ready to put on the houses. They had icing in Wilton cake decorating bags for you to pipe on to hold on the candies. Love!!!!!

We picked up pecans for free at a friends house and have been cracking and cracking and cracking.....

How fun. We always do a gingerbread house. My husband usually does it with them. It is kind of his thing while I cook or prepare for Christmas Eve. This year our traditions will be different. For the last 14 years we have lived away from family (10-13 hours) and this year we moved. We are only 1 1/2 away from my in-law's, and father. So, everyone is wanting us to come. I am not quiet use to that. I am grateful for family but at the same time I miss the simplicity and calmness of our own little traditions. As always I have enjoyed my visit.
