Hot Cinnamon Apples

My littles have really been enjoying these hot cinnamon apples lately! They are super easy and yummy -

Peel and chop two apples {or pull some peeled, chopped apples from the freezer!}
Add 1 Tbsp. butter to a skillet and stir in apples when it melts.
Stir in 1 tsp. cinnamon and a sprinkling of sugar - maybe 1 Tbsp.

Find a cute girl to stir them for you:

Serve with anything! I never seem to make enough - so make extras and enjoy!

We love cinnamon apples here,too. You're right, I never make enough either. I haven't ever made them with butter though. It sounds good so I'll add butter next time. Thanks for sharing.

Yummy and you did have a cute little chef helping you!

Here is a funny story.....my sister came here to help my mom move and we left all of our kids ages 21-7 at my house with instructions for making apple pies. Thought it would be fun. When we got back we tasted one and it was super pungent. Turned out they had added 1/2 cup of cinnamon.....eek!-lol

What a fun idea! I think I am going to make these for an afterschool snack today.
Oh how I would love to be able to sit with you over coffee and gather all of you wonderful ideas. You kiddos are so blessed and I always feel so inspired after reading your blog each morning.

We enjoy having these, as well. We call them "fried apples" because that is what the Pennsylvania Dutch (and Cracker Barrel) that gave me the recipe called them. I sometimes throw in some raisins while the apples are cooking. If my apples are hard with the right texture of skin (eg. Fugi, Gala, Ginger Gold), I don't peel the skin.
