Broccoli Salad

I've begun harvesting broccoli from my garden and this was the first batch! It wasn't really enough to serve at a meal for all of us, but I remembered a broccoli salad that I love and decided to just eat it myself for lunch!

Cut broccoli into bite size pieces. Add two pieces cooked and crumbled bacon, shredded cheese and dried cranberries. Stir in ranch dressing as desired. Mmmmmm ~ a delicious lunch!

Yummy! We only have onions and strawberries in so far...I think we can start planting the rest in a week or two. Can't wait for those yummy fresh veggies!

That looks delish. I have never grown broccoli before.
I love broccoli salad as well, except mine is a little different. I do the crumbled bacon and cheese like you, but I use a raspberry vinegariette as the dressing and add regular raisins. I am sure it tastes good either way. Thanks for sharing your harvest from your garden.

Love the salad! I'm so glad you are harvesting anything from your garden, my garden is still on a plastic covered shelf that comes in every night because it is still too cold to put out all night. Can't wait to get it all into the ground. In the meantime, I am enjoying your garden stories very much.
