Gratitude and a Giveaway!

Gratitude.

The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

The concept of being grateful is not a new one nor is logging our gratitude in a list or journal. But sometimes we need to be reminded don't we? Gratitude is a practice that helps us to focus on the many blessings we have, to be content and to combat self-pity.

I've logged my list of thanks on and off through the years and since the beginning of this new year have been journaling at the end of the day just before bed listing out thanks that have graced my days.

Through a friend of a friend, this little journal made its way to my nightstand. As one who notices details and looks at things like what kind of paper is in a book, what kind of font is used, and more - this little book is really well done. It is lovely.

The journal is set up with a space for you to make daily entries and suggests starting your day with reading a provided Scripture, noting at least one thing you are grateful for, reminding yourself of a truth learned from the provided reading and thinking ahead to who you can pray for or serve in the coming day.

This journal would make a great gift and is the perfect not-too-small and not-too-big size! Plus it's gray. Need I say anything more?! ;)

You can learn more by visiting their website and I'm excited that I get to give a copy away to one of you!

I think it is only appropriate that to enter the contest, you leave a comment with something you are grateful for! Winners need to have a US mailing address and a way to be contacted. Entries will be accepted through Friday, March 16, 2018 and a winner will be announced over the weekend.

I too have done this for years, 5 in morning 5 at night, but only verbal. This journal gives a way to spend thought throughout the day and keep Him present. Love it! I am so blessed to live in a country where I am free to read my Bible, go to church and openly live my life including Him without fear for my life or the lives of my family. RMBASS@AOL.com

I am grateful for a weekend away with friends for my husband and I. We had a great time (in Charleston-your stomping grounds!) and enjoyed a new city and sightseeing and yummy food! We rarely do things like this so it was a huge blessing!

I am grateful for having the chance to have my oldest granddaughter for an overnighter. So neat to see the Lord working in her life, and just to chitchat about life. Myness1k@aol.com

Even though I am ready for Spring, I am thankful for the beautiful gently falling snow we got today! The last several times it has snowed was overnight and was finished by morning, so I am thankful for a day to watch it fall while I worked!
