Celebrating New Life

Last week, we celebrated Rachel's 7th Christian Birthday! I love having this on the calendar but unlike other holidays and celebrations, I have never landed on what is just the right thing to do to honor this day. So this means we usually end up doing something different every time.

It usually involves flowers {life} and something sweet as a treat {celebration} - this year, I did not plan ahead at all. The night before the idea came to mind to do a New Life walk where we simply went around our neighborhood looking for signs of new life.

A quick trip to the grocery store yielded tulips and Little Debbie snack cakes. Setting a fun lunch table before our walk was fun and simple! The little butterflies were left from an Easter dinner some years ago {free printable found here} and a few Scrabble letters to create a meaningful message!
