I've been wanting a letter board - but they are SO pricey! Found a tutorial and am going to try and make my own: stay tuned!
My mom, sister and I have been keeping lists of thrifty things we've done lately and exchanging by email: so inspiring and motivating! Tell me your top thrifty successes lately!
After mentioning that I want to love tea, I tasted this and it is delish!
Watching: Victoria on PBS
Reading: The Royal Nanny
Trying to walk one mile every day for the next month {hopefully it will last longer than that but I usually fizzle out in the heat} and this is my raining option.
Working on a Lord of the Rings theme birthday party for Samuel coming up soon! Some of my inspiration ideas are here.
I have a Slow Living Pinterest board that is full of cozy inviting photos and inspiration!

Hi Monica,
I really like the pins on your Pinterest board. Thanks for sharing!

You can find last Saturday's post at the link below.http://agatheringofdays8.blogspot.com/2017/01/the-delightful-dozen-twelve-best-finds_21.html

PS~ how can you read the hospitality study for free? Thanks.
Hi Monica, I posted on one of your posts where you showed the wool balls and for some reason it didn't post. I am wondering if you can tell how to make them. I would love to make a swag for my window.
my frugal finds this week were limes 4/$1, boneless/skinless chicken breast for $1.59 (RARE!!), made jams and jellies with chokecherries that were frozen last summer (perfect project for cold days in the winter) and also several jars of chokecherry syrup, pita bread for $1 that I'll use for sandwich and for pizzas.
I really miss your sister's blogging and frugal fridays.
Monica,
Hello dear friend. I love the quote you shared today. I have needed this more than you will know. I also really enjoyed going through your open tabs. I like the Letter Board. I am also I am watching Victoria. I love it! I plan to do a tea party later in the week. Nothing fancy. I made a this cake last week and it was simple and yummy. It is Blueberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake. I had some blueberries to use up. I will share the link to it below. I am reading The Broken Way and also finishing up your book. *Smiles*
Hope you have a great week.

P.S. I love the idea of sharing thrifting tips with your mom and sister.
@Jo: Great links, friend! Thanks for sharing! Basically in my experience, the She Reads Truth books include beautiful artwork and all of the Scripture typed out. It is a companion to the study they publish online. So, if you look on their website you can read the study and it will have links to the Scripture. It is an extra step but a bit thriftier! :)
@Chrissy Mmmm, recipe sounds good! Tea party - fun idea! Have a great week!
@Debbie Hi! I replied to the last comment you left as well that those felt balls were purchased on ebay. The link is on the other post in the comments section. Great deal on chicken!!!
Thank you.
Jo
A letter board!! Adorable!!! Can't wait to see how you'll use one!!
We haven't watched Victoria. Please say it's clean! We've been sorely disappointed lately by movies that be seemed so sweet but end up showing way more than we were comfortable with. :(
Have a great night!

Thanks for the link to the one-mile walk with Leslie. I often skip doing the DVD I have because it's two miles/half hour. I'll be more likely to do this one for 15 minutes!
The Let's Stay Home print reminded me of the Jane Austen quote: "There is nothing like staying home for real comfort.: :)
@Mrs. U: So far - very clean - I hope it stays that way! :)
I so enjoy the rabbit trails that these open tabs posts lead to.
Last weekend, my family went to Michael's to get crafting supplies. (I was away at my parents for a week and my amazing hubby planned a crafternoon for he and the kids!). They came across a grab bag (box) sale. Since they were riding bikes, they only picked up one box, and it was BIG. For $4, it contained $399.50 worth of merchandise!! We came across this pop-up sale last year as well. The boxes were $2 then and I bought 11! I need to remember to put this on my calendar for the last weekend in January.
I enjoyed reading that you and your mom and sister are exchanging frugal lists. Those were my favorite posts when Carrie blogged regularly. With their permission, it would be neat for you to share the lists exchanged one week on your blog. I miss reading Carrie's blog.
