An Evening of Thanks
Last week, I had all of my lovely CC tutors over for dinner - I am so grateful for the gift of their friendship and the privilege of homeschooling alongside each one!
Because I love doing this sort of thing and I wanted it to be special, I had fun creating a pretty table! It was pretty chilly, but we ate out on our screened porch!
Wood slice chargers are from Hurricane Matthew's gift of lots of downed trees. My brother-in-law cut them up for me!
Place cards, table runner and pie boxes were all Target Dollar Spot clearance items - I came upon them one day all marked 75% off! I've always wanted to serve pie in those little pie boxes, so this was super fun to actually do!
Dinner was not complicated: soup, salad and bread! A sweet friend came and made coffees and lattes to order and that was a fun treat too!
I have to brag on my girls for a minute too - I paid them each $2 to refill drinks, clear dishes, rinse dishes, serve soup and dessert and pass out gifts. They did an excellent job - I was so proud of them!
