New Recipes

I've tried several new recipes lately!

Oreo Coconut Milk Popsicles: YUM! These were extremely easy to make and with only three ingredients! They turned out great and were a hit all around.

Apple Pie Biscuits: I made these for a Sunday morning breakfast recently and did everything from scratch - the apples on top were super yummy but this was a disappointment and none of us really liked the finished product - definitely will not make again.

Creamy Lemon Parmesan Chicken: This was very quick to assemble and complete! The chicken was especially delicious! David was not a fan of the lemon-y flavored sauce but the rest of us enjoyed it.

BLT Pasta Salad: This was good but not amazing - I think we all liked it ok, not sure if I'll make again since I prefer a better rating than ok! I'm so glad I started with half the recipe as I'm not sure it would be good leftover.

Loaded M&M Oreo Cookie Bars: Loaded is right - whoa. These were especially good when still warm from the oven!

Lemon Poppyseed Broccoli Salad: My favorite thing about this recipe was that the cheese was in mini cubes rather than shredded. I've made broccoli salad for years but this dressing was different and we decided we were not crazy about it. It was a beautiful salad with all of the lovely colors!

Have you tried any new recipes lately!?

So many times I try new recipes and find myself disappointed. I'm a copycat cooker. If you make it & it's good, I'm not shy about asking for the recipe. My mother-n-love is a wonderful cook, so I have mimicked many of her recipes over the years. I did bake your cinnamon topped oatmeal muffins the other day & I loved them! So keep cooking Monica, there is a copycat lurking in the background! Lol! Have a great day!

I make something very similar to the lemon chicken, but I use white wine in place of milk and I've never added cheese. It's one of my family's favorite meals! I will try it with the parmesan cheese next time. :) Yum, I love trying new recipes that someone else has given a good review!

I have been drinking this over the last month or so and have really enjoyed it during the hot weather.

I know it is a trendy drink and I'm late to the party, partly because I shy away from trendy, but it is very refreshing. Also, I can't believe I am using Stevia as I just can't abide the taste! =O But we tried Sweet Leaf Stevia and it tastes good. No aftertaste that we can tell. And the ginger really covers everything. That's our new to us recipe.

P.S. I'm not a fan of silly names so I renamed it Ginger-aid.

I was assigned a recipe for a women's brunch for my church, and while I was put off at being told what to bring, I did find a new, yummy recipe that I never would have tried before. They were blueberry granola crunch bars-something along those lines. They were sooo yummy!!! I love the stamping on the sticks-super fun!

The Oreo popsicles look awesome! I'm sure both Oreo recipes would be a hit here. ;-)
