Back to School: A Prayer for the Homeschool Mom

Dear God,

I come before You as this new school year begins, Lord. I praise and thank You for the children You have blessed our home with. Thank You for the privilege, responsibility and freedom of schooling my children at home.

In all my areas of inadequacy and weakness, I rely on You and Your strength. In the sometimes struggle of balancing teacher and mama, I seek You Lord.

Help me to be a humble leader and to model learning. When our home starts to get off kilter, let me stop and refocus my heart and priorities. Help me to start my day with You and fix my eyes on You as the most important thing I can pass on to my little students.

Keep me sensitive to what is best for our family and diligent to do all that You have for me in this season.

Thank You, Jesus.
Amen.

Amen. What a privilege to homeschool (or in my case, help) homeschool our children (grandchildren.) May you have a blessed school year! Have been away from your blog for a bit, and so excited to read the entries I have missed! Looks like some exciting news for sure!! Congratulations! (I'm sure I'll have more to say after I read.)
