Christmas Craft Day

After our recent Fall Craft Day there was interest in a repeat for Christmas! Yay! Crafting + Christmas = yes please!!!!

Just like the last one, this was an adoption fundraiser for a sweet friend! When hosting a craft day for an adoption fundraiser, I've charged $25 and tried to keep my supplies to less than $10 so that a good donation is built in per person. But I want my guests to feel like they are getting their money's worth and having a relaxing morning out too so one of my favorite things to do is create fun little goodie bags for them.

The goodie bag contents need to be about $3 or less - here is what I came up with for this one. First, we were making big Christmas Card display boards so I wanted them to have some adorable clothespins to pin up their cards as they arrived. Mini clothespins with plaid trees {!!} were from the Target Dollar Spot!

The little wreaths were in the stationary section at Target on an end cap - there were three in a package and it was $3! Adorable! Super fun to tie on to each gift and I think they will be fun to tie here and there!

I also included a mini chalkboard that was inspired from a block of wood left by the trash after we had to get a new hot water heater recently. I did not spend a thing on making those!

Now for the memo boards - wood came from Lowe's and I had them cut the boards into 2 and 4 foot sections. I also got the L-shaped brackets which came with screws at Lowe's. We just used paint/stain that I had on hand so crafters had a choice of black chalkboard paint, gray chalk paint or stain.

The chicken wire was from Amazon {it was cheaper than this when I ordered it} and I already had a heavy duty stapler {thanks Mom!} and just bought some extra staples for that. The one shown below is stained. I love how they turned out!!!

Of course, craft day needs some fun food and I will just be honest - we had a busy week and I didn't have time to do as cute of a spread as we did for Fall Craft Day - but it still worked out yummy and fun!

I made a breakfast casserole, pumpkin apple gingerbread muffins and Crock Pot Hot Chocolate. My sweet friend had sent me home with these delicious tea cookies a few nights before so I shared those too!

The whipped cream printable sign can be found here. Peppermint sticks are from Dollar Tree!

We agreed that it was a fun and festive morning and we enjoyed great fellowship with each other! So glad our sweet friends came to enjoy crafting together and support adoption at the same time!

What a work of heart...and art! I'm sure that all were blessed by your orchestration of this craft day.
It looks like your table is covered in butcher paper. Can you share your source? I've been looking for an inexpensive source for a roll of this to cover our craft table.
I love the idea of goodie bags; they don't have to be reserved for littles' parties!
