Input Please!!!

Friends, I am humbly asking for your help! Many of you have left comments saying I should write a book about Slow and God was laying the same idea on my heart as well. I have finished a rough draft of  a book about slowing down and finding beauty in that slow!!! Yay! BUT, my platform is tiny in the world of publishing. I have a literary agency who has cracked the door open the tiniest bit - would you help me show them there is interest and/or a market for this book? I am terrible at self-promotion, but God has put this message on my heart - so I pray it will become whatever He has in mind. Thank you in advance!

You can do any of the following to help:
- leave a comment here sharing why you think this book is needed in our day and/or why you would read it
- leave a comment here sharing why I should be the one to write this book
- follow me on Instagram
- subscribe to my blog
- like my Facebook page
- leave a comment on any of the above to show support or interest for a book on this topic

Here is the premise from my book proposal:
Most women are running through the race of life at break-neck speed. As a result we are stressed out, worn out and missing out on celebrating the everyday beauty of life. The purpose of this book is to come alongside my fellow sisters in the race with practical ideas to equip us in slowing down both spiritually and in our daily lives thus being able to reduce stress and joyfully embrace life.

Wow, Monica! Good for you! Your heart for keeping life in balance is so apparent and I know I could learn much from your book! You are a great encouragement in slowing down and enjoying the small beauties in life with intentionality, so undoubtedly you have much to say and share in your book! Praying for the Lord to open the door!

When I was a new wife and then a new mom, I lived life very slowly. I didn't have a car and so stayed home most of the time my husband was at work. I was a peace maker, a beauty seeker. Right now we are in a very busy season of life. While it is full of many wonderful things including our four beautiful daughters, homeschooling, and events with our marvelous new Church, I feel like I've lost some of what I had during those earlier years. I hope I get to read your book and soak in some wisdom about living life in a peaceful, God honoring way! I've already gleaned so much inspiration from reading your blog!

I already follow you here & on Instagram...I don't use Facebook. Monica, I think your consistency and how you stress that you see "slowing" in your family as a very important thing. Now a days it's the opposite even in most Christians lives. I need reminding. Why wouldn't others? It's really a Biblical principle that you are talking about. I will do whatever I can for you. Let me know. tinastone1971@yahoo.com

Oh Monica, this is wonderful news! I have been reading your blog for years and I can't tell you how much encouragement I have found here. You have a love of home, family, beauty, and most importantly the Lord and it shows in all the things you do. You do a wonderful job of sharing how to savor the important things in a slow fashion while living in a fast paced world. I would certainly buy a book written by you!

What a wonderful premise for a book, especially for mothers! It can be so hard to be a Mary, when the world is telling us to be a Martha! Any inspiration into slowing down and savoring the day to day is wholly welcome. Good luck, Monica!

I think you're the perfect candidate for writing the book on "slow". I think there is a flooded market for these types of books but the difference you bring is that you are truly living what you write. The evidence of your intentionally slow life is prominent in your blog writing and the pictures you take. It also seems evident through your children's lives that they are witnessing slow on a regular basis and that's not something they were taught but rather shown. I'd read your boom and I look forward to your practical help in intentionally living a slower life. In theory, I know how to do it but applicable practice is lacking! -A Reader in Wyoming

Monica, I would so enjoy seeing you bring what God has put on your heart to fruition. I too have read your blog for years and been blessed by what you write and photograph. The countenance of your children is proof of how slow living is paying off - they look loved beyond measure :-)

From the moment I peeked on your blog and you have shared your desire for slow it has inspired me to do the same. When my life gets out of whack I always remind myself to check this place on the web to remind me to slow and enjoy life. I have always thought you should write a book. I am excited.

I am just so inspired by your blog! I recently found you just a couple months ago and each of your posts about slowing have reminded me of how much I need to slow and how much better I feel each day when I am able to do so. After reading everything you have to say I know that I would love to read a book written by you on this topic, It would be so wonderful to have a resource that could sit on my shelf and remind me that I feel much more balanced when I can slow down and enjoy my life with my husband and children. Thank you so much for your beautiful words!
