Steak and Shake is a favorite of ours to stop at, too!
Love the kids on the swing..I remember those wonderful days with my children...running in breathless and filthy to grab a drink and run out again....if they didn't get it from the hose:-)

Looking at your pictures make me feel warm! Blooming trees and outside time... I am ready for those kind of days. :)

I love visiting your blog! Your passion for your family and home inspire me as a mom of three boys and full Ike homemaker. I read the following quote this morning and thought especially of you..."Thank God, o woman, for the quietude of your home, that you are queen in it. Men come at eventide to the home; but all day long you are there, beautifying it, sanctifying it, adorning it and blessing it. Better to be there than to wear a queen's coronet. Better to be there than carry the purse of a princess. It may be a very humble home. There may be no carpet on the floor. There may be no pictures on the wall. There may be no silk in the wardrobes; but, by your faith in God, and your cheerful demeanor, you may garniture that place with more splendor than the upholsterer's hand ever kindled." - Rev. T De Witt Talmage

What an ingenious "swing" invention for all three to use!

Love your Slow Day posts.

Mmmmm, cinnamon rolls! We had some yesterday morning and everyone raved!

Fun swing idea.

What is that Oreo dish?!

Oh, now I see what your littles engineered to stay in sync while swinging. Very clever!
This post should have a disclaimer at the top: "Do not proceed any further down this post if you are currently craving a sweet!" haha

Awe...you live near
'Steak-n-Shake'? Yum!
We are not near one.
Years before we lived in the mid-west we loved to go! Umm, orange shake, burger, bean & fries!
I want to let you know that I & my daughters really enjoy your blog & family & always leave blessed!
I do not always have time to comment & just thankful to visit...
Thanks for all you share!
Blessings~

Hi Monica,

I too wondered if you now had a Steak 'N Shake, until I got to the bottom of your comments.

Also, are your trees blooming already? They are beautiful.

Looks like you had a fun slow day.
