Family Night: Do Something!

When Family Night sneaks up on me and I'm not exactly sure what we're going to do together, I'm reminded that doing anything together is what creates memories!

As simple as applesauce pancakes, a picnic and a movie from the library! It's not complicated or involved, yet we are together - perfect!

Great reminder! Lately our family nights have consisted of a free kids movie and popcorn. Simple but we are still making traditions and memories.

Have a great weekend!

Being together is the most important thing! Surrounding that togetherness with beauty is your specialty -- lovely photos :) -- love you, Mom

I have to say that I love your blog, and should I ever see you in real, pinchable life, I would want to hug you. But not pinch you, because the hug from a stranger would be sufficiently awkward :)

But I gotta ask: What is this Family Night of which you speak? I have a Mormon friend whose family has Family Night each week, and so didn't know if it was because you shared that same faith, or if this was just another BRILLIANT idea of yours. Because it really is wonderful. Especially when you say to just "do something!" Having a night dedicated to being together, in whatever form that might take, it would seem that marking and holding that time together sacred above other possible things taht are good but separate you all would convey a message deeper than just the blocked out space on the calendar and a nifty blog post (whoa, that was a run-on sentence!)
I very much look forward to your posts sharing Family Night, and was just curious as to how you got started, and to know that it means much to so many of your readers!

Hey Sally,

Thanks for your comment and questions! Family Night is not related to the Mormon faith - but just something we call family time in our home! We do try to set aside one night either Friday or Saturday night to do something fun together as a family and voila! Family Night! :)

Blessings,
Monica

I just love it so very much! I have shared with my husband again and again how you all come together and do something - bible-related or not. It's fun to watch from here, and had sparked good conversation between he and I! Thank you for taking the time to share this moment with your family with all of us!
