God's Mighty Warrior Devo Bible Giveaway!

I received a copy of God's Mighty Warrior Devotional Bible for review this summer! I thought this would be a fun thing for Samuel since so many fun books are geared towards girls. And, he loves it!

We've been using this as part of our homeschool time with him and so far, Emily has read it to him more than I have! After reading about Noah and the flood - they looked at the activity section and proceeded to gather a zillion stuffed animals, some fruit for picking for their voyage and turned the couch into the Ark!

So far, so good! I also like that the stories are short followed by some sort of activity or action - it's just the right size to do each day. I think the inside artwork borders on cheesy - but I'm a little hard to please in that arena.

Overall, we've enjoyed reading this together! And, now it's your turn to win a copy - just leave a comment on this post telling me about how you bring God's Word to your boys! Comments accepted until Wednesday, August 15th at 10pm EST.

Disclosure: I received this copy from Tommy Nelson's Tommy Mommy program. And, they will provide a copy to one of you as well. All opinions expressed are my own.

I have the privilege of being able to influence my grandsons with my love for the LORD & His Living Word! Always on the lookout for BOY things! One way I do this - try to LIVE what I believe (tall order.) Another - PRAY the WORD over them, out loud. Another, display respect for their father, & their grandfather! Ask them to read the Scripture, whenever we are together. Let them tell me what it means. :-)

As you know, we're looking for ways to help Nathan learn more about God's Word and how to apply it to his life. This looks like a neat book!

Right now we are all about prayers at night, meals and at church and books, books, books. I'd love something aimed at my little guy and his 'boyness' as we teach him about being a warrior for God!

Thanks!
Heather

I write Bible verses on construction paper, laminate them, and put them on our homeschool room wall as a daily reminder. I have the God's Mighty Warrior devotional book, and I would love this to go along with it! Thanks, Monica!

As a family we are currently going through the Long Story Short devotional by Marty Machowski. My girls have all sorts of devotionals that they do together but I have not gotten one for my son yet. I would love to check this one out.

My son is currently reading a daily devotional with a sports slant. He can relate to all of the analogies.
I would like to give this warrior devotional to my nephew, who will be born in October.

Last week I pulled out "Jesus Wants All of Me" (the kid's version of "My Utmost for His Highest") for something new to try. We're enjoying the short little devotional, verse, and picture. We'd love to try something different with James. Thanks!

Monica, Thanks for sharing. We have been using the Jesus Storybook Bible, and Little Blessings Devotion for our 3 boys (4,2,1). The oldest is starting to bore a little, as we have just been cycling through and starting over. this will be a great addition to our rough and tumble home. It would be fun to win, but I will definetly be picking this up at the bookstore. Thanks again for sharing!

My son is exposed to Christian music and messages around the home (in the form of Dayspring/Blessings decor), as well as some children's books as well, but I think this would be extremely useful to help in that area!

We are memorizing verses that are teaching God's promises and reading Bible stories.

Oh wow! I think this devotional may be exactly what I have been looking for! We are starting PreK homeschool and I wanted to do a major study of the armor of God with our 4yo son (he already says he is a "soldier of God" and is so excited to really study what that means!) As far as bringing God's Word into his life, we start the day by reading the Jesus Storybook Bible and we pray often throughout the day together (I pray for him out loud often as well). I try to point out all of God's little blessings to him throughout the day and we are going to start a thankfulness journal together this year (a la Ann Voskamp). He sits close by while I read my Bible and sometimes I read verses to him as well. I guess that I just try to keep the Lord and His Word present in our daily, moment-by-moment lives, our conversations, our decisions, and our activities throughout the day! Anyway, thanks so much for doing this giveaway Monica!
