A Gift, A Trip

What a gift I had to go to my sister Carrie's recently! As she said, and I agree with, the gift of me being able to go by myself was such a treat for all of us. Special thanks to David, his mom and friends who made this logistically possible!

It was so fun to be able to wake up the first morning and see Nathan and Natalie! They had been asleep when I got there - so it was a fun greeting in the morning! We started off the day by coloring together and getting creative (Natalie's idea) with the crayons!

Naomi had a well visit next, so I was pleased to be able to take Nathan and Natalie to story time at the library. We walked to the library and Natalie had fun collecting tons of dandelions! We even found a few "wish flowers!"

I don't really know why I suggested this or where I had heard of it before, but because she was collecting so many goodies - I suggested making dandelion "soup" after lunch! :)

Later in the afternoon, we had fun walking to the bakery, enjoying a treat and taking some photos among the gorgeous tulips!

And, of course, I was thrilled to meet Naomi! I got to hold her and snuggle with her lots and it was just wonderful! She is precious and we are so thankful for her health and life!

Awww, a new set of sisters showing some sisterly love!

Sweet Naomi!

Fun swinging with Natalie!

My sweet sister! What a FUN time we had! It was a blessing to me to have this sweet time with her and I am so grateful for all the many provisions that came together to make this possible!

Carrie - I love you and your sweet family! Thank you for all you did to make me feel so welcome and at home. What a treasure of new memories I have now! I can't wait for her to show you one of the projects we did! :)

There is much to be said for planning ahead. By doing so with your sister, you were able to plan for many activities you desired to do together.
As always, it looks like God's timing for your trip was spot-on.
