Hydrangea Happy

Yes, that's me! My hydrangeas are in their full glory right now and I am oh-so-loving it! David is just leaving with all three littles to go to the park - so I'm going to enjoy sharing these pictures with you! It's Saturday, we don't have anything planned and I'm just enjoying a simple pleasure today!

For your Saturday enjoyment ~

In the past, I've overloaded you with pictures of all the blues - this year, the purples and pinks are really jumping out to me in their beauty! I think these bushes are called Raspberries and Cream and I love the variety of their coloring!

This is what our garden looks like from our back door looking out:

The blues are pretty too - here is one so soft and new:

My little helper can hardly stop cutting them! We did not plan the matching shirt - that is what she was already wearing!

We've marveled at how beautiful these are! Look at the coloring and the little blue buttons in the middle of the flowers - amazing! What a beautiful thing You have made, God!

Just feast your eyes on the amazing colors and variations in this one bloom!

Ok, after all that - now I want to go look at the blue ones! Maybe a blue version of this post next week! Oh, how happy looking at these makes me! What's growing in your garden right now?

P.S. I bought these hydrangeas here from one of those newspaper coupon inserts! They have done SO well! Watch for a sale, these Blue Moon hydrangeas are 3/$4.98 right now!

Just beautiful Monica! We don't get our hydrangeas here in WA state until nearly July. =(
They are my favorite flower! I used the blue and a few purples in my wedding decor.

Rachel is really growing. Thank you for making me stop to NOTICE the little blue button in the center; I've never noticed that before. I went to the farmers' market and the health food store to try bulgur and Israeli couscous.

Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers! Did you know that the color (pink, blue, purple) depends mostly on the soil ph? Except for the white ones. My favorite colors change, but I love when they have a lot of green in them. This year one of my bushes is green and purple!

They are gorgeous Monica. I have a very SMALL hydrangea plant, but it hasn't even started coming up yet but I will look forward to a few flowers by July 4. I would be taking a million photos too if my collection was so beautiful! Enjoy!

Beautiful! I eye them each time I am in the garden section. I want one, but am not sure where to put it.

My peonies are getting ready to bloom and I am giddy with excitement!

Monica,
they are beautiful! I had to leave my blue ones when we moved to Louisiana. You made me smile today with this post. I miss my hyrangeas.

Such beauty! I love hydrangeas, too, and have a sweet variegated lacecap that blooms blue. It makes me smile every time I catch a glimpse of it in the garden.

They are very beautiful! Almost makes me wish that we lived somewhere a little more southern. I do have a hydrangea plant and I saw today that it did survive another winter but it is very doubtful that it will manage to bloom. Oh well, I will enjoy pictures and working with them when I do wedding flowers for my clients.

Oh Monica, how gorgeous! And you have so many of them...in all colors. We are always excited to watch Joanie's one hydrangea bloom.
Did she send you the pictues of her peonies? They are blooming for the first time this year. (After planting them 7 years ago!!)

I LOVE the pictures of Emily and Rachel in their matching shirts with matching flowers!

Thanks for sharing these photos.

Love you, Grandma

Oops! I thought I saw a picture of both Emily and Rachel the first time. When I went back and looked
again, I saw it was just sweet Rachel! Sorry about that!

Love, G'ma

I love hydrangias. We are a mile high here in Albuquerque so it is too cold for me to grow them. I actually tried once because they were selling hydrangia plants at Lowes. (maybe I just don't have a green thumb when it comes to them.) My roses are blooming now and I have blooms on my tomato plants. The blackberry bush is very pretty now too. My red bud tree, cherry and plum tree were in full glory a few weeks ago and now my cherries are just starting to turn red. The other thing that is growing is sweet, sweet baby birds. I've got a number of nests in the yard and have been enjoying watching the mama robins and doves feeding their babies. New life is so precious be it with animals or plants. Have a blessed Sunday!

Beautiful, Monica!!! I think hydrangeas are my favorite flower!! They remind me of the time I lived in this lady's house with a bunch of other single girls-she was a great keeper of home and such an inspiration.
Thanks for the link, I've never heard of that company...
