Remembering France

I hope you've enjoyed seeing our pictures of France - it has been fun for me to remember the fun we had! The last full day was spent in Paris ~ so much to see! Some of this is on our way to Paris from our stop the night before, so I guess we must've had a day and a half in Paris.

We saw so many beautiful churches on this mini tour of France!

The rest of the pictures were taken in Paris ~ a rooftop view:

Louvre Museum:

Notre Dame Cathedral:

Pompideau Center Fountain ~
a fun stop since we have loved seeing it in the movie Sabrina over the years!

The Eiffel Tower:

A sunset cruise along the Seine River ~ this was my third favorite thing! I'm not sure how we timed it for sunset - but it was an amazing view!

Au revoir!

Monica,
What fun it's been seeing your trip to France! My husband and I lived in eastern France for almost a year in 2002-03. What a wonderful experience it was for us - and it only increased as our French expanded (we were there for language school).

We've decided that "one day" we're going to move back and buy a little house in a village somewhere for our retirement - or maybe sooner. Who knows?!?!?

I'm so glad that you enjoyed your trip. I've heard so many horror stories of Americans visiting France... But we (and you, it seems) had none of that. Hold tight to your memories!

What a neat trip, Monica!!! HAHA! The picture of your dad with the fountain "coming" out of his mouth! :P I recognize that place also from Sabrina!!!

Thanks for sharing! What a lovely trip!

Dear Monica, thank you for sharing these wonderful memories of our trip to France. The sunset cruise in Paris was one of my favorite things during the trip, too -- but my absolutely favorite thing of all was being able to share this adventure with Dad, you, Carrie, and Eric! Love you, Mom

Beautiful pictures. You should go back. France is always worth a trip. I've been there three times now and I just love this country. Our 3-week-honeymoon there was the most romantic thing ever. I love Paris too. Thanks for sharing your pictures!!

It has been a treat to see all your pics from your France trip. I wasn't able to comment everyday, but I gotta tell ya, you got the KODAK moment with your Dad leaning back and it looks like he is drinking the water coming out of the fountain behind him. Very cool.
