Easter

EASTER when all the world
Turns reverently and looks to Calvary's cross
And rejoices in the risen Saviour
Who gave His life for us.

'Tis not the pomp and envy nor the pride
But rather LOVE wherein we all abide
This Easter season smiles on every one
And echoes "Look what Christ hath done."

ONE sacrifice there upon that tree
Spells Easter in its full reality
So at this Easter season
When the world is filled with strife
Brighten the outlook of your own horizon
With a faith that will beautify your life.

We can with patience work and wait awhile
And draw courage from our Lord's approving smile
We can with quiet confidence meet wrong
And amid uncertainties be sure and strong.

Should we then yield to groundless fears
And complain if our best efforts meet with jeers?
We'll find a life of joy and peace and kindly deeds
Filled with gentle patience serving as God leads
If we will every look to ONE above,
In reverence trust in His eternal love.

Yes, it is a beautiful poem; she must have been quite the matriarch of the family. And how blessed you were to have 5 generations present before she passed. Have a blessed weekend. The drama was by far the best I've seen at the church.
