Friday was a beautiful day, so we took a short drive and picked some beautiful strawberries. More correctly, I should say that I picked strawberries - the ladies ate strawberries!
Yum! I have always wanted to take my kids strawberry picking, but we either went too early or too late. They are now teenagers, but I still think they would enjoy it. Who doesn't love a fresh, red and sweet strawberry, right? Your girls look like they had a fun time.
Mmmm...we have to wait until June for ours strawberry patches to be ready. Once we took a little friend with us pickin'. It was his first time and he ate everything he picked. I told the woman at the produce stand that she would have to weigh his belly, not his basket! Your li'l ones will have such fond memories of these traditions you are creating! Angie
Strawberries ~ yummy! Our strawberries aren't ready to pick for quite a while up here...what a treat that would be this time of year! :-) That must've been lots of fun.
There's nothing I like better than forgetting about the laundry and letting kids have a good time getting messy eating something they love. And it's healthy into the bargain!
How fun!! I cannot wait until the blueberries are ready around here. There are no strawberry farms close by. :(
Monica, I love the photos you posted last year (or maybe the year before) of you and Rachel picking straberries. The close-up photo of her taking a big chomp out of a strawberry was PRICELESS! I love "simple" things in life...
We are about to go strawberry picking ourselves. I cannot wait to make some more strawberry jam-it did not last long around here-must make extra this year!! Lilly actually made it into the local paper last year. My aunt said she saw a familiar looking little girl and realized she was mine-she had never seen Lilly before-she just looks a lot like her momma at that age!! Elise

Their matching buckets are so cute. And look at the strawberry stains up on her eyebrows!
Those pictures are wonderful, especially the last one of the stained face :) Love it!
It will be awhile before we can pick over here!
