Glue the photo to the notecard. Using the Sharpie (if desired) draw on lines or flowers to embellish the card. Now, the card is done! 
Find a full page photo that you like to be the envelope.
Cut out envelope using an unfolded envelope or template (see link above).

I used to make cards, but haven't in a long time. Since I need to write to a friend, I'm going to try it again. You have inspired me! And I never thought to use a picture from a magazine or a catalog--what a great idea!
