Macaroons

Rachel and I had been wanting to try again to make macaroons - we tried one other time and it was a flop! I will admit though that we made too many substitutions last time to avoid a trip to the grocery store - so when the latest issue of Magnolia magazine arrived with an entire feature on making macaroons - we decided we were ready to try again!

We read through all the common mistakes and key steps to make sure we followed everything to a "t"! And we were both so pleased with the results, they were delicious and so pretty! We made three colors but the only flavors are plain and mint/chocolate. It was quite a satisfying experience!
