Rachel's 12th Birthday!

We celebrated Rachel turning 12 a couple of weeks ago with a cute woodland animals party! It was simple and so sweet!

I had asked each of her friends to bring a note saying what they loved/appreciated about Rachel instead of a gift and they read those aloud to her - so affirming and sweet.

The theme started when Rachel saw a cake in a grocery store bakery case in Colorado this summer of a girly looking fox. This is our interpretation based on my skill level :)

We did a nature scavenger hunt, made these felt headbands and made fox paper art! The girls spent an hour just making the headbands but they really turned out cute. The flowers are from our yard! They look fairly pitiful in the yard but all collected in the jar - they make me so happy!

The invites and water bottle labels were made from this cute artwork.

Party cost:
Paper plates/napkins/fox picks: $8 {Target}
Headband supplies: $5 {Wal-Mart}
Orange food coloring for fox cake: $2ish at Michael's with a 40% off coupon
Total: $15

Everything else was already on hand! What a sweet time with Rachel's lovely friends!
