Dessert Picnic

I had a very charming dessert in mind to top off our fun patriotic picnic! Oh, I forgot to mention that I've always loved patriotic colors and especially since I was born in the Bi-Centennial year!

Anyway, I hadn't dreamed up a dessert picnic, but when we realized that we were right on track for a full moon viewing plus it was a Super Moon at that - we decided to go mobile with our plan. More pictures of the sunset and moon rise tomorrow!

Again, my Mom dove right in (it sounds like I worked her to death while she was here?!) and made homemade brownies - my favorite dessert! I fluffed and decorated everything and we took our dessert picnic to the boat landing for some gorgeous scenery and a little more celebrating.

In fact, how cute - a little boy and his dad were walking by and the little boy was wondering aloud to his dad what we were doing. The dad said he did not know to which the little boy responded, "maybe they are celebrating!" So.cute.

Packaging goodies came from Garnish - warning: lots of photos ahead (as usual!)

What a lovely outing this was! :) And no, you didn't work me to death -- it wasn't that much work, but it was a labor of love. :)
Great photos of your "fluffing" results! :) Love you, Mom

What fun! Your hydrangeas are breathtakingly beautiful! They are my favorite flowers of all! I really enjoy the meanig of flowers & part of my Mother's Day gift were some blue ones with a sweet card describing their meaning. Do you know them? Devotion, understanding, friendship...and the Greek root word for hydrangea means "vessel". I love that! I was a vessel to my three children as they grew in my womb...sweetest Mother's day yet! :) I thought you'd enjoy that little tib biit as you enjoy hydrangeas as well!
