November 21st

Yesterday was one of those memorable dates for our family as it was three years ago that my Dad received his cancer diagnosis. I am so thankful to say that he is doing well and his doctors are very pleased with his response to treatments. We are so grateful for how God has blessed us in this.

And, I unexpectedly picked up the phone yesterday morning to be asked if this was a parent of Samuel Xxxxxx. It was the eye doctor's office - {gasp} this was the moment where I'd find out the results from the MRI. She quickly stated who she was and that everything came back normal on his MRI.

To say that we are thankful and relieved is obvious. And, yet - I know that so many others do not always receive good news. Our family has not always received good news and I want to be careful not to flaunt our good news forgetting how others (or even us) have felt when we weren't on the receiving end of good news.

It was a blessing to have some good news come on November 21st and to receive Samuel's results so quickly. A very big heartfelt thank you to all who have supported, encouraged and prayed! You are a blessing!

Thanking the Lord for the "normal" result of Samuel's MRI. And for your dad's health three years after the diagnosis. God is so good! It's been 15 months since my cancer diagnosis and I'm in remission. God answers prayers and continues to be faithful. Praying for you and your family.

I'm so happy for your good news.
Twice in the last month I had to wait for test results -- one for me and one for my son. (Thankfully, both were normal.) I know the horrible thoughts that can creep in while you're waiting to hear.

I am so happy to hear that! Romans 12 says "rejoice with those who rejoice". As a mom I am definitely rejoicing with you. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow!

I am rejoicing with you about Samuel's results!
I am SURE that even if the results weren't what you expected...you would STILL be praising God! I have learned that about you, having read your blog for the past 4 or so years.

Big Hugs, Monica.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm so glad to hear your good news! When waiting for test results in my own family, I pray that God will increase my eternal perspective and he has used times of waiting and both sad and relieving news to do that. We're blessed to know that this world is painful, but God is good no matter what results we receive.

I've only had mildly bad news in my family, but having feared the worst, I think rejoicing heartily over good news is what we all need to see. We try to help people who are struggling in sickness, but they help us by reminding us not to take our health for granted.

I think it is awesome how God chose to come to you on a day that you obviously had not so good memories of, and choose to give you great news. I know you were probably in the back of your mind reflecting on Nov. 21st coming up and waiting on the results from his MRI, and just hoping that wouldn't be the day you got the call from the doctor. I'm like that, I try to connect all the dots in my mind prematurely. I am thanking God that his results are good! Now you can enjoy your Thanksgiving with the comfort of knowing it's all okay. God is Good!

To Karen, good for you :) I have been in remission now for 5 or 6 years.

Rejoicing with all of you. More to be thankful for this Thanksgiving Day. Heavenly Father's love for us us so great. More deeper than we can imagine. WOW! :) Take care all, Janet W
