Gratitude for ...

91. An impromptu sewing Saturday! All their idea!

92. Tents!

93. Watching hospitality bloom in Emily ~ the snack she created while I was at the thrift store.

94. A cozy evening in front of the fire!

95. Simple little things that delight - his pleasure at Elizabeth carrying a carrot!

96. Little fingers learning to make music.

97. Making life's ordinary moments beautiful.

98. A surprise just-because treat from a friend! Have you tried a peppermint milk shake at Chick-Fil-A? YUM!!!!!

99. Seedlings emerging - new life!

100. Discovering a new place with friends.
101. Eyes open to beauty around me.

What are you thankful for today?

We still have lots of snow up here so I am thankful that it is melting slowly because if it melted fast, many people would have flooding in there homes!

I'm grateful for cough drops today. Just a little thing to send to school with my slighly scratchy-throated little daughter to bring some comfort and a little mama-love (though we both know the school nurse will have her gargle with salt water instead.) A touch of home is such a blessing for them sometimes.

So very much to be thankful for today. (I think that the contrast of the devestation that others around the world are facing helps me to be more aware.)
For coaches who teach life lessons along with the sport skills.
For dance group moms who help me navigate the newness of it all.
For a husband who loves me and accepts me, even with all of my quirks.
For a new baby born to our youth pastor's wife on Sat.

Hi Monica, Oh, I enjoyed reading all the th ings your grateful for. It's so important to foster an attitude of grattitude. I think the photos of your little ones are so precious...at the piano, at the sewing machine etc ;) : )

Let's see..what am I grateful for? A lot...having a nice home, food, good Christian women that I meet with for Bible study every week, my comfy, pretty quilts, my camera that lets me capture those things that make me smile..there's a lot ;) :) Have an excellent week. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :) :) :)

#93 is too cute ~ mimicking mommy! Love #97! (I think you have a knack for that!) Definitely going to have to try #98!!! Also, love the basket on the bike! I'm thankful for all the ways available to communicate with loved ones far away. Happy Day!

Monday Hello's Monica: I appreciate the gentle 'turning of my thoughts' towards what I am grateful for at the end of this day. Sunshine and the warm touch of an 'almost' Springlike day dispite the evidence of snow on the ground makes me joyful, our newly married son and daughter-in-love arriving back early this morning from their honeymoon cheers our hearts, a morning doctor appt. for my two Grandbabies that were 'thumbs up' blesses us all, celebrating my sister's Birthday together this early morn. over a restaurant breakfast treat started the day sweetly...... Gratitude to our Father in Heaven who scattered joy over and around my day...and that is just some of my 'thankful and grateful items' on a long list Monica. I am in the midst of great sorrow at the loss of my Mom, but, I am trying to keep focus on God's gifts to me as I journey through the valley times....He has never left me or forsaken me for a minute and that is my greatest "gratitude"....His beautiful Grace.

You and your Little Nest are such a beautiful encouragement and one of the loveliest blogs to "visit" Monica....may God bless you and yours this day.

Barbra.

Lovely post and great photos :)

Some of the things I'm thankful for this week...
1. Our traditional Sunday night movie and popcorn
2. Upcoming time off to spend with family in KC (wish you could be there, too!)
3. Crocuses blooming in our backyard
4. Music -- at church on Sunday morning, at home on CD or Dad singing, in the car, in my head
5. Five beautiful, smart, healthy grandchildren and their parents!

Lots of love, Mom
