All of these photos were taken on our first day of the journey. I would love to know if you've posted anything on your family times together or have ideas to add - please share!
Wow Monica, What precious photos. You are building some great spiritual foundations for your little ones :) :) I love how every activity has a spiritual focus to it :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
I just got your "Journey" guide printed last night, as my printer has been out of ink. So we will have some catching up to do this weekend. I'm interested to know how you are doing the garland. When I first read about it, I envisioned putting it all together and then putting a clothespin on the loop we were on that day. But I thought it may be difficult to read the loop if it was already connected to another. It looks like, by your pictures, that you are looping them after each day, forming your garland as you go. Will you then take it apart for next year's use? I think, also, that it looks like you laminated each strip. I am going to the EIRC to do laminating today, but I don't have my strips ready yet. Maybe next week. I didn't get a chance to comment earlier in the week--thank you so much for sharing this family devotional with us. I pray that I will be intentional in using it and I know that God's word will be fruitful in our lives. (Your wooden cheese box made me smile. I love those old containers. So much more attractive to reuse than our plastic counterparts.)
We are on day 3, and I don't have a blog or pictures, but I wanted you to know that my children and I are enjoying this and learning like we haven't before. I dressed up like John the Baptist with a leather belt and a wig near my waist for my camel hair clothes. Today in my little outfit we baptized a GI Joe Jesus in a cup of water. I don't think they will forget these fun lessons! :) God bless you- Amy

Monica, I would love to know where to buy one of the candle sets that you have {I've seen them on Ann Voskamps site as well}.
What a lovely tradition you've started! :)

This year we did a desert and each day we add something in it based on the scripture of the day.
Here are some pictures

love your ideas!
We are using this as the bible part of our homeschooling. So far, the kids like it a lot. I haven't posted any pics to our blog yet but will soon.
God bless you for this, I hope it will truly bless our little ones.
I've never celebrated this way before. Beautiful. I am appreciating your sweet spirited blog. Keep glorifying Him.
