Happy Valentine's Day!

Here I am with my Valentine! :)

We started our morning off with an early breakfast of heart shaped pancakes and ham. It was a fun start to the day which Emily slept through!

I made these brownies yesterday so I could put a fun dessert in David's lunch today and we'll also have them for dessert tonight. I got the idea here, though used my own brownie recipe.
I'm planning to make creamy chicken and green beans with heart shaped biscuits on top for dinner and these scones in heart shapes for a friend who is coming this afternoon for tea!

Wow! That's a lot of heart-shaped cooking...and it all looks yummy. Did you have a form for cooking the pancakes in hearts or are you just an exceptionally good pourer?

Yep, I was wondering the same thing because I made heart-shaped pancakes for my family this morning, but they looked nothing like yours. Mine were more of the preschool-art variety. I called them "crooked, but true - just like my love for you!" ;)

They look beautiful!! And yummy.....I left fresh baked chocolate cookies for my husband in a heart shaped dish. I got up at 6 and baked a couple dozen for work. He gets a nice dinner tonight though...steaks and heart-shaped breadsticks. If he is lucky, he may get banana cream pie, too.

I found a heart shape pancake mold at the Dollar Spot at Target - But I was thinking a cookie cutter would work too if you could pick it up without burning yourself...how did you do it Megan?

That makes me feel much better. I could have made nice ones with a mold too. :) I made "V" shapes in the pan and as they puffed out they turned into hearts - mostly. But sometimes I got one side of the V higher than the other. And sometimes a lower portion stuck out more on one side. But all's well that ends well. Right? :)

Everything looked yummy and pretty! I also made heart cookies and jello(in a heart-shaped muffin tin) for my husband's lunches this week. You two are so cute together!!!:-)
