Resources for Seasons of Change

2026 has been a much harder year for me personally than I anticipated or expected. It has been a string of changes and transitions in our family and in my own personal life and it has left me feeling a little like I'm floundering and lost. Perhaps you can relate or maybe you will sometime in the future. I wanted to share some resources that have been helpful and meaningful to me in this season in  hopes that one or more may be a gift to you as well.

Now and Not Yet Bible Study by Ruth Chou Simons

Yet Hosanna Revival

Encamp Hosanna Revival

Waiting Isn't a Waste by Mark Vroegop: highly recommend the audio book to hear it read in the author's own voice.

Still Waiting Ann Swindell

Heaven Rules: Take Courage, Take Comfort, Our God is in Control by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

Spotify songs - I started really listening to many more of the lyrics of hymns and worship songs that I normally listen to and many of them have very tender messages that apply to lots of different seasons but are also filled with gospel truth that brings hope and encouragement! This album was a particular blessing.

Scripture memory: choose a passage to meditate on - when you are caught in overthinking or can't get out of your own head, turn to Scripture to change the direction of your thoughts and give you purposeful moments in the Word. I'm working on Psalm 27.

Read a Psalm every night before bed.

Keep a journal to share honest prayers, words of encouragement, and struggles.

Community and local support - be willing to reach out to local friends and when someone asks how you are doing - be kind but honest! My local sisters in Christ have been such an encouragement and lifeline for me and I can't recommend this highly enough!
