Beauty Walk for Stress Relief

After making lots of hard phone calls, meeting with the funeral home, meeting with the pastor, so many hard details - I was just about worn out mentally, physically and emotionally. Sunday afternoon, I took my kids and we went for an hour hike. All this beauty just filled me up! The fresh air was literally a breath of fresh air, I highly recommend a walk/hike for relieving stress! And if you can time it for sunset - all the better. Such a delight and refreshment to my weary soul.

What helps you find refreshment after hard tasks?

I have read this blog for several years, but have never commented. I wanted you to know that I am continuing to pray and think of you during this time.

Monica, I am so with you on taking walks to relieve stress! One of my favorite things to do. My husband has suggested I get a treadmill. I told him it is not the same. Something about seeing God's beautiful creation and breathing in the fresh air while I walk makes it so worth it! This may seem a little odd to some but another thing I like to do is hear God's Word being preached. It just gives me peace for some reason in the midst of going through a trial or something hard and it's almost always just what I needed to hear. Blessings~

I ve read your blog for many years and have just checked in today to see your beautiful posts - only to read your very sad news. I'm so sorry. Thank youf ro not only being real and allowing us to walk (anonymously) alongside, but for your example of trusting the Lord even in suffering. May God bless and keep you, guarding your heart and giving you rest. Blessings, from a 'friend' in NZ.

There is so much in the words, Peace! Be Still! What better way then to enjoy what god has made. Blessings and prayers.

Walks like this, for sure! Fresh air. Worship music. Hearing my kiddoes laugh. Long talks over coffee with my husband... praying for your family during this time. May the Lord's presence feel so near.
