In the midst of all the beautiful photos - go take a look at the reality of our life that I posted on Instagram last week! Ok, now don't you feel better about your home?! Good, me too.
Proverbs 24:3-4, "By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."
I came across this on my first day of Home Week as I was reading the Proverb of the day {July 24 = Proverbs 24}
As I took my morning walk and later in the day as I sat in the hospital waiting room while Samuel had his eye surgery, I started to process each piece of these verses.
Today, let's look at the first part:
How is a house built with wisdom?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this as well - but here are a few things that came to my mind:
- it means I am full of God's Word, letting it dwell in me, being rich in God's Word and spending quality time with Him
- having routines and systems in place to bring peace to our family
- have strength and dignity - live in confidence and boldness; with God's strength be in control of my home - act with courage, not fear and overwhelm {Joshua 1:9}
- my home is a place that honors God's Word
- wisdom {which I think is both knowing and doing what I know I should according to His Word} is the foundation of a home built for God's glory
- when the foundation is wisdom: the house is built by God's grace and for His glory
- when the foundation is wisdom: it means God is the builder!
For your quiet time reflection, consider printing this out and spending some time working through the questions.

This verse is one I have chosen for the homeschool year. Lovely photos.
Were these pictures at Cascade Falls? That's about 20 minutes from where I live!
