Handmade Valentines
Friday afternoon after finishing school work and lunch, it was time to pull out some Valentine supplies and make cards! I found this card kit on the after Christmas sale and had fun using it for a different purpose!
First, I had fun making a tray of supplies to inspire - I did not have an idea in mind when I started just went with it as I went along!
I set a goal to no two cards alike! We have a Valentine party each year at CC on the Tuesday before the 14th and I like to give the tutors a sweet little card!
I still want to make Valentines for my sweet family at home - have you handmade any treats or cards this year?

Love these, so sweet!: )
I have not yet made anything for valentines. I have the idea to make up my own gift certificates for a drink at each of my kids' favorite places (Starbucks and Gong Cha) since I ran out of time to stop there for a gift card. Also, a gift card can never be for the exact amount of the drink. Since my daughter will be away this weekend, I'll probably give valentines to them tomorrow. Wow- I just realized that I better get busy today!
It was a great idea to repurpose the Christmas cards for V-Day. I got a box of 40 thank you cards and envelopes in the infamous Michael's grab bags. They are high quality paper, intended to be for post-wedding. However, you've given me the idea that I could cover the front (they have flowers on them) or just cover the 'thank you' to use them for different occassions.
I'm also inspired by the idea of gathering supplies together so that I can see what I have to work with. I have drawers and a closet full of craft supplies, but could better create if all of the possibilities were right in front of me.
Did you use fabric on your cards?
These are beautiful! I have a few church members in the local nursing home so we are going to try our hand at some homemade cards. Have to be particular about the treats though d/t dietary concerns. I love the doilies on the cards! And I think I recognize that string as it was on my beautiful tshirt that I received in the mail today! Love love love!!!
So cute! I'm always inspired here with your thoughtful beauty creating.
We made all our Valentines for one another and to share. I also made heart-shaped toffees and the kiddos helped with cookies to share the love. Mine weren't as pretty as yours those. I love yours!
