Thanks to an article my Mom spied in the AAA magazine, we have been making plans to ride the Royal Gorge Route train that was all decked out for Christmas!
What fun to ride a real train, and one that was so child-friendly, fun and festive!
For the first time, I played around with editing some of my photos ~ enjoy!
One of the fun things about the train was that the children could wear Christmas jammies!
And, we found this cute diner to enjoy before riding the train ...
A neat historic train at the train station!
Here's the train at night all ready to go ~
After hearing the carolers, it was time to board!
The ride was wonderful! There were lights along the way, music and singing, cookies and hot chocolate, story reading, elves, a visit from Santa and elf tricks. Really, it was so very child friendly and such a positive experience!
Such a festive and fun evening!

I love this, man such a gift to be able to enjoy in itself. Looks like a fabulous time.
I have always wanted to do one of those with the kids. That one looks perfect.

Love the expressions on the kids faces as they look at santa.....magical! Also I love the special touch of the carolers. It's sweet your kids got to make a fun memory with their grandparents!

How fun Monica! We have one that is called the Polar Express- they read the story and Santa comes, etc. Your train was much fancier though! I love the old trains & any where that you can wear pajamas is okay by me! Your pictures look great!!
