Samuel has just finished soccer season and I know I am past due to share photos of his Fall! The first game was a little traumatic as he figured out why other players were "in his way" and trying to thwart his plans! But, once he figured that out, he has shown us he is a natural at reaching his foot out to grab the ball and he has scored the majority of points for his team. But most of all - he has had FUN! Great job, Samuel! Go Leopards! This was our first experience with organized sports for him and we were very pleased with our Upward experience - what a great program! Photos courtesy of David.

I love seeing pictures of Samuel! We only do Christian Sports Programs also! Christopher is getting ready to start basketball. Their verse memorization portion is just as important as their skills! love it!
Parenting boys is a whole other "ballgame", isn't it!?ievirth
We just signed our son up for Upward Sports basketball. I'd never heard of this program before, but I like what I read about it.
We have had our 5yo daughter in soccer the last year and it has been such a joy to go and watch her - she is the third girl but soccer is HER thing which has been special to find and encourage the difference between sisters. I love the fourth picture of his little arm up trying to block the opponent from passing - I have several of my little girl doing the same thing. : )
wonderful!!! Is he wearing indoor soccer shoes??? Amber
Love seeing these photos -- go Samuel!! I hope someday we can be there to cheer him on! :) Love you, Mom
Samuel looks like he is really into it! I have heard great things about the Upward program.
I especially love that one in the middle with his head kind of tilted to the side. *CUTE!*
Hey Amber: He does have on smooth bottomed shoes - they are just required to wear shoes that tie at this age and I found those for $1 at a thrift store :) Score!
You go Samuel!!!! I love how he couldn't figure out why the other team was in his way! Too cute!
Thats a WONDERFUL deal on shoes. I wish our soccer team could wear shoes that tie. We have to have cleats....I can never find any at Goodwill. We start saving at the end of every season for the boys next season. We have 12 year old twins who where the same size can't even had them down!!!!! Thanks Amber
Way to go, Samuel!! Nana is proud of you. You look so cute in your soccer outfit.
Love, Nana
Samuel certainly did turn into a soccer ball kicking, scoring, loving kid! How fun to watch his transition and to see him26 score goals for our team! Go Leopards!
