I l.o.v.e.d. Ann's post about a DIY Mother's Day! Making our own day of R&R! And, oh - the things on her list were just how I wanted to spend the day! Being a mother, my day was full of spilled milk, sibling issues, a button pulled off of pants, toes run over by a bicycle wheel.
I tried a couple of times to redeem the day and make it special - and I will say the bubble activity was our highlight! At the end of the day, I could look back with a smile and that is what matters! Here are a few of the things we enjoyed ...
Lighting a candle ~ decorations which lingered from our evening with friends the night before.
Go outside and sit on the porch swing ...
Enjoy a tasty treat and took Ann's advice of even trying a self portrait!
We made bubbles! What giggles, jumping, bouncing, smiles and laughter came along with!
Gratitude Journaling ...
And, then a fun invitation to some friends for playing, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows and fellowship! Fun!
And, it was my favorite kind of day: gray and cozy! How did you spend Mother's Day?

Loved these great photos! :)
Love, Mom
Monica, you are so CUTE!
I am always amazed at hom much living you fit into a day! I loved that Ann's post focused on a Mom's Day that included the children. So often, I read ideas for pampering mom that exclude the children.
I had a lovely Mother's Day with a picnic on the deck, lots of handmade gifts, and some time to relax.
Sounds like a typical day around here. I find myself trying to redeem the day often. :) As long as you can smile at the end of the day that is what counts.
Enjoy your day!
It looks like a blessed Mother's Day!
