I read "A Love that Multiplies" by the Duggars. I could hardly put it down because I'm fascinated by them!! I have two little ones and was hoping to glean from them since I don't see their show. I think they are such a lovely family!

Have you been watching the Masterpiece Series "Downton Abbey"? I just started watching it this year and it is WONDERFUL! You can catch the first season on Netflix and this season's episodes on pbs.org. I also found an English series called "Land Girls" on Netflix that I loved! It's about girls on the English homefront during WW2. I am eagerly waiting for season 2 to come out on DVD.

As for books, I don't read nearly as much as I used to or would like to be but I am reading "A Praying Life" right now and it is ROCKING my world!

Enjoy!

How fun that you kept a list. I don't keep track of movies, but I've definitely started my 2012 book list already. Love it.

Curious about the book by "DJ." =)

Talk to you later.

The Courtship of the Vicar's Daughter Book #2 in the Gresham Chronicals by Lawana Blackwell

We have also enjoyed Foyles War(a few years ago) , considering watching them again. I've got to check out the other British productions mentioned.
This month, Shaun The Sheep ,Murder She Wrote on Netflix among others.

YAY! I think keeping such lists is important. It helps you look back and see how your thoughts and ideas have changed over time, really. (In the end, that's what they help me do.) They map a path through life!

by far, the best two books I read this month were "Kisses from Katie" about a 19 year who dropped everything and is now a missionary in Uganda and "Radical" by David Platt...it has changed my WHOLE focus on what my faith in Jesus Christ is meant to do!
And I have been watching Downton Abbey...faithfully, since season 1! and season 2 has NOT disappointed me! there are some "adult" themes, but no swearing and the good people always seem to come out on top!

I love to read, but haven't really ever kept a list of books or movies for that matter. We do love Miss Potter here at our home. Such a really good movie!

Thanks! I might take some of your ideas. I posted on my January book's:

I should keep track of my movies, as well.

Foyle's War is very, very good, too!

I just finished "The Elegance of the Hedgehog" by Muriel Barbery. It's been moved onto my best-ever list.

I've started keeping a list this year, too. I'm also trying to fill in from the past as I come across books I've already read.

Wow -- this is quite a list! I read three books in January: Money Saving Mom's Budget by Crystal Paine, Unmeasured Strength by Lauren Manning (a 9/11 survivor), and The Times of Our Lives by Tom Brokaw. I'm currently reading Packing For A Woman's Journey by Nancy Lindemeyer. Happy reading! Love you, Mom
PS: I was interested to see from some of your comments that there are other Foyle's War fans out there. :)

I am amazed at the number of books and movies that you got through in one month! What was your favorite from each list?
I started keeping a list last year, but was inconsistent. I think I shall start now with what I remember from this month.
Winning by Gary Brackett
Through my Eyes by Tim Tebow
(I'm trying to connect with my son's reading since he no longer wants to have read alouds.)
I wonder if I can check back in my library record to see what else I had checked out this month. Crazy that I already can't remember.
