Tornadoes: How you can help!

I received a sweet note from Ashley the other day about the loss experienced through the recent tornadoes. And, I'm going to share it here - how can we help?

A dear family, Aaron and Kelly Crawford, whose blog I read at www.GenerationCedar.com was destroyed that night, along with many others. The Lee family, with 13 children, lost their husband/father, and some of the children were injured, as well. I can't imagine the pain they are going through right now, and my heart goes out to them. I was blessed though to hear Kelly Crawford's testimony during this time, that God is faithful, gracious and mighty to save, and about the peace the Lord is sustaining them with.

I'm guessing some of you have heard other stories of loss as well across the south - please feel free to share links or thoughts in the comments for others.

Ashley provided a great list of ways we could help:

Send Checks or Cards of Encouragement to the Crawford family
Another way you can support the Crawford family with income is by purchasing ebooks from their website, GenerationCedar.com, for instant download.
Pastor James McDonald of the Providence Church in Illinois has setup a donation account for tornado relief efforts: http://www.providencepeoria.org/2011/04/28/tornado-relief-efforts/
Christ Church in Alabama has also setup a way to donate, and has a list of specific needs:

And, I would add that Samaritan's Purse has also been spearheading relief efforts and fundraising. They are also asking for volunteers, more here.

I think we all realize that at any time it could be our family in the headlines - tragedy is not partial or discriminating. And, while we can feel helpless in these times - we can also be moved to action!
Trust that God will lead you to accomplish His will!

When you see the damage to her childhood home, it makes you gasp. What a moving post she did.

I will tweet this.
