My littles have been asking for picnic after picnic with the warmer weather we've been enjoying! One lunch time found us sitting in their choice of spot - at the end of our driveway (by the street) on a quilt.
I found myself feeling sleepy in the warm sun and laid down to rest - wow, the sky is beautiful. I was nearly overwhelmed with its beauty, its largeness and thinking of the One above and beyond it all!

Isn't it wonderful to be able to take the time to appreciate something we often take for granted? I'm glad it has been warm enough there to have picnics -- we're not quite there yet! Love you, Mom
I have really enjoyed exploring your blog!! It is so beautiful! I'm sure it isn't the first time, but I've given your blog a couple of awards. You can check them out at http://a-steady-rain.blogspot.com/2010/03/ive-been-awarded.html. I hope you have a great Thursday!! =)
I love looking up into the sky! My favorite sky to look up to is a night sky filled with stars. It's beautiful and majestic!!! I usually pause and think...wow...He knows even my name.
Hi Monica,
After some really rainy days, we have a similar sky at the moment. It is beautiful, isn't it? And the best thing: We are going on holidays for a week tomorrow, and we can't wait, we are all so tired. I will look at your new postings as soon as I'm back, for one week I will not have internet access.
Have a lovely Easter time!
oh honey, I'm in my hammock looking up most days (thankful for FL weather). It is glorious - isn't it! The same sky you're looking under up at Him - so am I!
How great is our God!!
I went hiking yesterday in the woods to get away from it all..and look at the earth that God created. Your post reminds me of this quote:
“Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.” by Kahlil Gibran
I am amazed at all of the leaves on your trees. All we have now are little buds coming out. Thanks for the pics!
I am loving the blue skys lately... so lovely.
Have a blessed Easter Monica!
Hi Lisa -
That magnolia stays green and leafy all year!
Just did yesterday! LOVE IT! :) It is so big and awe inspiring and it does IMMEDIATELY point you to the Creator!
I posted my blue sky picture late this evening, see it at my blog!

Have you and the girls read Sky Tree by Thomas Locker? We love it and are looking forward to reading some of his other books.
