For anyone doing MFW Kindergarten - here is a cute idea I found last week in a fun little kids cookbook!
Use your favorite bread recipe or a loaf of frozen bread dough to make turtle bread:
Shape body, head and feet. Score back with a knife - as dough rises and bakes, it makes the shell look! We had fun with this!

That is so cute!! We are doing MFW, as well, and will be doing K for Lilly next year. Great ideas you have!!

That is adorable! Thanks for sharing.
What a cute idea! We're using MFW and are planning to start the Turtle unit tomorrow - what great timing. Thanks for posting the pictures!
that's really cute! I'll have to remember this idea for next year or the year after when I do MFW with Hannah. of course, I may just do it before that too! looks like fun.
AAck! I love turtles, and I love bread! What a great combination! One bread book I've just started using is "Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day". I'll bet I could get my loaves to look like a turtle. Thanks for sharing!
Aww, my little ladies would love this! We are currently doing sonlight- and enjoy the "extras" that are recommended in the IG's. Enjoy those fun together moments in your homeschool adventures. They really do make an impact!
Super cute. I love this idea.
I'm doing MFW-K this year too with my 4 y.o. son and are on the turtle unit. I just made a double batch of rolls yesterday, but definitly think we'll try this later this week. Thanks!
Fabulous!
That's a really cute idea, but the sweet smiles really make this post adorable.
Blessings,
Marcia
That is soooo adorable!!! I love it! :) We passed the T lessons...we are on O....but that turtle bread is just toooo cute...we may have to do it sometime just for the *fun* of it! :) Thanks for sharing this with us! :)
What a cute idea! :)
What a fun idea...too cute.
I did this as a child! Was it from the Alpha-Bakery cookbook?
The girls and I have also shaped the dough like an elephant and want to try other animals, too. A fish would be fun.
Heather: YES! It was from the Alpha-Bakery book. My aunt gave it to me this summer because she was ready to get rid of it and this is the first thing we've tried from it! What fun!
