Another favorite spot in Colorado Springs is Garden of the Gods ~ one of our pastors when I was growing up always called this God's garden and I think that name is so much more appropriate!
When I was a very young 4 or 5 we were stationed at an Air Force Base in Amarillo, TX. My mother often talked fondly of visiting the Air Force Academy and Garden of the Gods, but of course I don't remember. I have been to Colorado twice since then but didn't make it to either place.
One of my favorite things about this beautiful place is that it is free and accessible to everyone! We don't go over there often enough, but we see it from a distance nearly every day. Great photos! Love you, Mom
I like reading your posts! I just moved from Denver back to the Carolina's so I enjoy your enjoying the same things! I had friends in CS so we spent alot of time in Garden of the Gods. Also, we took anyone who came to visit us there. I so thought one of those houses adjacent to the Garden would have been cool. Never did get to the Glen Eyrie castle though! It was on the list, but we didn't manage before we moved.

What beautiful pictures. Thanks for all your tips on soap making. I would love to try it.
