Today is our fifth anniversary! David has been such a wonderful blessing to me and I am so thankful for God's faithfulness in our life together! It has been a busy five years, but a good five years! I love you and am thankful for you, David!
When we bought our wedding rings, our jeweler suggested that every five years, we add a diamond to David's wedding band. He loved the idea and is thrilled with his new addition:
I will write in his journal again this year and he has dinner plans, place unknown to me yet!
You can read more about our wedding here. Thank you, Heather, for the fun pictures taken at The Glen where we were married five years ago!

Happy Anniversary to you both and may you enjoy a lovely evening together as you reflect on the blessing of YOUR marriage. May God Bless you and your marriage. Lisa
monica,
that is a great idea about a diamond for every 5 years. My husband and I both just have plain gold bands, we will be married 3 years and I am going to start saving my money for two diamonds in two years.
I love, love, love your blog. You have given me so many wonderful ideas.

Congratulations, Monica!!!!! We will be celebrating 4 years of marriage this July...doesn't it just get better and better? I'd challenge anyone out there who doesn't think that marriage - especially a marriage based on Jesus - can be so exciting, fulfilling and romantic to give your heart over to the Lord and let Him bring you together with the man that He has purposed for you. There's nothing more delightful and fantastic!
Praying that you guys enjoy a wonderful anniversary today! :o)

I was surprised to read that you have been married just five years. God has given you such wisdom as a wife and mother already. Thanks for sharing that with your readers.
The pictures that you had taken at Christmas are so natural. What a treasure, since they coincided so closely with your 5th anniversary.
Looking forward to hearing about your special dinner together.
