A friend invited us over this past week to pick lemons from her lemon tree!!! They don't look like typical lemons, but they smelled and tasted just like lemons, so perhaps they are a different variety?
We brought them home and David squeezed enough for a fresh pitcher of
lemonade to go with dinner! It was delicious!

After dinner, I squeezed enough for two more batches and popped that in the freezer and we took another six lemons to a friends house the next day and made another fresh batch!
What a fun treat! Now I want a lemon tree in our yard!!

YUM! I love fresh lemonade! Glad you all got to enjoy some! :o)
They look like "Meyer" Lemons to me...the lemonade looks so refreshing....don't you just love lemony things? I make a great lemon tart (if I say so myself)...Perhaps I'll pop the recipe on my blog!!!
YUM!! I love fresh lemonade! What a cool kind of tree to have :-)
Love fresh lemonade!!
I love your pitcher too!
We live in Texas and planted a lemon tree three years ago. We have 25-30 lemons this year. We love it!! We've made lemonade, lemon curd and I would like to find recipe for a lemon pound cake. You should plant a Meyer lemon tree-- (Although ours looks like a lemon bush.) It is so worth it to have the kids pick them fresh. We also love to read the book Maisy makes lemonade when we make ours.
Ooooohhh! *licking lips* Lemon has been one of my favorite things with this pregnancy! YUM! ;) I always want various trees in my yard, as well, but I am so impatient for them to grow/produce! LOL!
Definitely Meyer lemons!
Ooh, yum!! I have the Pampered Chef citrus squeezer, I should try this.

Fresh lemonade is the best!
When you freeze the lemon juice for lemonaide have you already added the sugar? or is it just the lemon juice by itself?
I had no idea lemon trees grew here! I've never seen in any the stores. I wonder if we'd have to order them??
I love leomons. What a wonderful treat.
That looks soooo yummy!
Yes, those look like Meyers. They are delicious. Walmart sometimes has citrus trees-including Meyer lemons-for around
$11. We planted three of them this year.
