Crafty Fun!

My friend, Grace, came this past weekend to enjoy some crafting time and the Harvest party together! All our littles had a good time playing together - but I think the Mommies had the best time! :)

We had picked out a few projects - from this magazine:

First, we made a charming table runner - I love it! The instructions were for a small tablecloth - but we both decided to make table runners and I'm so glad we did.

Another thing we made was this Noel Garland. I will attach some greens to the top in December when it is time to hang it - I got the zinc canning jar lids on ebay very inexpensively and love how this turned out too!

The third thing we did was in preparation for Emily's birthday - will be showing that very soon!

What have you been crafting lately?

oh! I love the things you made Monica! They look fantastic! Great job!!! :)
I have just been working on my knitting! I taught myself off of tutorials online recently and have started making a scarf. I don't know how to cast off yet though when I need to finish...something I will definitely need to figure out soon though...I am getting towards the end of the scarf I am making..LOL!

I had so much fun Monica!! I am almost done with the table runner. I worked on the vines last night. You know me slow and steady. I can't wait to see the pic of the Birthday project.

Dear Monica -- these crafts are darling and I know you will enjoy using them. But even more, I know you'll enjoy the memories associated with creating them together with your dear friend Grace. :) Love you, Mom

I love it all!! I have been working on various projects for swaps. My friend told me that I need to do a swap for myself, that way I will actually make something nice for myself. I will be working on some fun stuff for you soon!!

I made king and queen capes for my twins' birthday! The pictures aren't downloaded yet or I would send you one. I went to the Library yesterday and picked up "Bend the Rules Sewing" (thanks for the recommendation). I can't wait to find something in there that I can make!

Pictures from your Harvest Party looked liked you all had a lot of fun. We did the donut eating contest last weekend for the twins' birthday party. The adults wanted to play too - - we put apples on the line for them!!!

Both of those turned out so great. I don't have any sort of table runner, hmm. (That may be a hint--I clearly won't be sewing anything myself!)

I've been making hair bows with your tutorial! :) Thanks so much for posting it! My daughter's birthday is coming up soon, and they'll make little gifts for the girls that come over.
