That word says it all. We are safely home from our marathon road trip! We had a great time and I am looking forward to processing it here.
We were welcomed home with a wonderfully clean house, bubbles for a bubble bath and orders to do no work today! Thank you, David, for all your hard work while we were gone!
I'll be posting on Simplify Your Life week the next five days, then we'll get back to the trip!
Looking forward to catching up with you all!

Welcome back, Monica! I'm glad you had a great time, and I'll be glad to start reading your blogs again.
What a wonderful hubby! Who wouldn't love to be welcomed home like that?!
It will be fun to hear about your trip. I'd love to hear how you kept the kids happy during the long drive!
God bless.
Welcome home! How wonderful it will feel to sleep in your own bed tonight.

Glad to see you back. Home is the dearest place in the world as Anne Shirley says. I had a quick question, I know you love the Mitford books, but when I saw "Father Tim" I had to ask, are they based on Catholicism? We are not catholic, I just wanted to check. God Bless.
Glad you are safe at home and had a wonderful trip!!!! :) And how sweet of David to have the house tidy and ready for your arrival home! :)
It's good to have you back!! I so look forward to your simplify post. Welcome home!! :-) tammyp
YAY your home!! I've missed you each morning. I am so glad you had a great time and can't wait to read about it.
We are thankful for your safe travel and for our wonderful time together! Love you, Mom
Glad you're back we missed you!
PS from Mom: Good job, David, for having a clean house for your family to come home to! :)
Mrs. H: The Mitford books main character is Father Tim who is an episcopal priest.
I want to personally add this: I am not of this persuasion either - we attend a non-denominational church and do not participate in all of the liturgal parts of worship that she mentions in the book. But, I still love these books. The Gospel is presented and I am always encouraged and challenged in my faith by what the author shares.
Heather: How did I entertain the littles? We had a box of toys, coloring book and colored pencils (won't melt), stickers, snacks and we were given a portable DVD player for Christmas - so I did let them watch some movie time each day. We sang songs, practiced Bible verses, talked about what we saw outside and they took naps.
I didn't plan special activities for the car - and they did pretty well. We stopped about every two hours for at least a "get the wiggles out" break!
