Good Friday:
Made a cross for the wall out of brown kraft paper:
Daddy told the Easter story and we let the girls touch each of these things to help experience it:
We did the Wordless Book and song to go with. Then, made a "tomb" out of couch cushions:
Saturday morning, we made these Resurrection Biscuits. They were both yummy and meaningful in sharing the story of Easter. This will become an annual tradition in our home.
Sunday morning, I served cinnamon rolls baked in the shape of a cross (sort of): And, we read a board book telling the Easter story.
Overall, I think the girls sensed the special-ness of the weekend and noticed the extra effort we were putting into celebrating it. While I know that Easter and what it truly stands for is pretty over their heads at this point, I would love them to never remember a time they didn't know it!

I love these ideas! Megan was a little young this year, but I plan to incorporate more about the true meaning of Easter next year. Thanks for the ideas!
These are great ideas ~ I'm sure they will make the connection with each of these activities as they get older. What a great way to build fun memories for a purpose! Love you, Mom
That sounds fantastic!!! What a wonderful way to remind/teach your little ladies about Easter! :)
Great ideas for teaching the real meaning of Easter! I too, liked the tomb idea!
Keep up the good work, Honey.
Love you, Grandma
Great ideas. I'm sure the kids will always remember it. I have the very same fabric on my couch. My daughter and I recovered it I blogged about it on my blog a while back.
